The featured articles are based on lakes I have visited over the past few years, they were wrote at the time of visit therefore would advise further research. In addition our directory contains many hundred of different lakes, browse through and do your research prior to making a reservation. Ive been to some very good and bad commercial lakes in France. Even though these artciles were wrote whilst fishing a specific venue I prefer to write about the approac and give tips and advice therefore even if these are not your chosen lakes you will get an idea of how I approcah commercial lakes in France - you may even find a few tips and tactic to put a few extra fish on the bank.

Approach to commercial venues

It is now that time of year when mother nature sounds her wake up call and brings carp fishing to life, the larvae are starting to hatch, the yearly cycle is dawning and the first mosquitoes are searching for your blood.

Beuarebare - Angling Lines venue

This lake was used as a stop off venue from a trip a little further south, with the intention of writting a feature for Angling Line to be published in International carper magazine. It was our intention to use it as a stop of to gain a little shut eye, little did we know that the coming hours would see so many runs that we had no choice but to bring our rods in. To say we found it easy would be an understatement. However it is a small commercial venue, not my cup of tea but suited to those looking for a bend in the rod from medium sized carp.

La Horre - French carping UK

Although La Horre and Domaine Brocard are French owned a UK company has rights for English reservations therefore have placed them in this carp fishing holidays section rather than French owned private laes section. La Horre is an excellent venue that contains a good head of big carp to over 70 lb, 50 lb carp are a regular feature. The swims are well spread - one of French carping UK venues.

Domaine du Brocard - French carping UK

Domaine Brocard is owned by the same fish farmer as La Horre, it also contains a large head of big fish. the lakes itself is scenic and contains large beds of lillies. Although I only spent a few days at this lake I enjoyed the session - with thanks from French carping UK.

Meadow lake- Mirror Pool

This is one of the Mirror Pool complex of lakes, all lakes contain a good head of carp with a good head of big fish. The article tells its all, hope you enjoy the read.

Brittany Mill Holidays

One of my favourite carp fishing holidays was at Brittany mill Lakes, its a scenic venue set in idylic forest, the carp are of a good average size, infact as far as I can remember all but one my fish were over 30 lb. In addition I was at the lake in October when the carp, catfish and sturgeon decided to get their heads down.

Lac des Lesmont

This lake in France is possibly the cleanest i have come accross, with dougout swims that are rwell placed to intercept carp as they move around the venue. The onsite lodge is ideal for those looking for lakes with accomodation in France or all inclusive with a difference. The stock of carp in the venue ensures you have a good chance throughout a week long session.
